We are currently NOT accepting new patients
1. We have more time for you.
Most Importantly, we have fewer patients than an insurance-driven practice, which means we have more time for you. When you have a concern, you call us, and can expect to get a personal reply to your questions and concerns in a timely manner. If you want to be seen on a more urgent basis, we can schedule you within a day or two days, we have flexible hours, and can provide Telepsychiatry (web-based care) in appropriate situations.
2. We tailor your treatment plan.
Secondly, your treatment plan is tailored and chosen by us, not any third party. Simply, we work for you, with your best outcome in mind. In insurance-driven models, care is often split between multiple providers, with the psychiatric physician simply prescribing medication, and seeing multiple patients per hour. Though this model works for some patients, for many others, having a single clinician with ample time to listen, as well as the ability to flexibly utilize a variety of different tools (including psychotherapy) is a significant asset.
3. Direct Payment to our office"No Middleman" dictating your Well-Being.
Finally, a defining feature of our “Boutique” practice the payment is directly to our office. We are not members of any insurance panels, and do not accept insurance payments. That said, many insurance companies provide what are called out-of-network benefits which allow you to be reimbursed directly for services rendered by our office. If you have insurance, please contact your insurance company directly to see if these benefits are part of your plan.
One of the most important first steps in a journey towards emotional growth is accepting support from others. Although talking about your feelings can be vulnerable, it can also be very cathartic. I believe in creating a non-judgmental, safe environment that will allow you to feel more open to share your emotions. Because I have experienced trauma in my own personal life, I have a great deal of empathy and compassion for all my clients. Due to my training as a mental health therapist, as well as my experience in working as both a Medical & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I treat clients holistically. There is NO quick fix and NO magic pill. A combination of: a healthy diet, a good night’s sleep; regular exercise; individual therapy and medications if needed are all a necessary part of the process.
I specialize in working with clients ages 16+ and above on the following conditions and situations; Depression, Bipolar, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and Trauma. We look forward to meeting you.
